Card 2 · worked example

When the terms end at 12,000 miles a year

Example only. At 12,000 miles a year, a round national-average figure used here for illustration, the 3 years or 36,000 miles term reaches both limits together, at the 3-year mark with about 36,000 miles on the odometer.

On the same assumption, the 5 years or 60,000 miles term reaches both limits together, at the 5-year mark with about 60,000 miles on the odometer.

Your own odometer and the in-service date tied to your VIN replace both numbers. Drive more and the miles limit arrives sooner; drive less and the calendar does.

Card 3

What a service contract adds, and what it does not

When the 3 years or 36,000 miles basic term closes, the narrower powertrain term keeps running to 5 years or 60,000 miles. After both have closed, no Jeep factory term in this table applies.

A vehicle service contract is a separate purchase that pays for the repairs it lists, on its own terms, in whatever stretch it covers. It does not extend the Jeep warranty and is not issued by Jeep unless the contract says so. Service contracts are not warranties and not insurance; the contract you receive governs, including its waiting period, deductible, exclusions and cancellation terms.
